THE INVISIBLE MAN’S REVENGE
1944
Despite having the same surname as the previous invisible men, Robert Griffin appears not to be related to any of them. Jon Hall also here has the distinction of being the only actor to play the invisible man twice on screen, although playing two different characters. And once again, fifty years before the age of CGI, the special effects are extremely impressive.
PLOT:
Robert Griffin returns home from South Africa after five years of memory loss following a diamond field expedition in South Africa. On his return he discovers his former business partners have cheated him out of a fortune. Half crazed, Griffin is befriended by Herbert Higgins, a drunkard. Later, Griffin stumbles upon the home of Professor Drury, a scientist who experiments with a new formula that makes animals invisible. Witnessing his experiments, Griffin volunteers to become Drury's first human subject. Then, as an invisible man, Griffin sets out for revenge..
